Shefali Jariwala On Adopting A Baby: 'It's On Hold Due To COVID-19 But We Are Very Positive About It'- EXCLUSIVE
The pandemic has altered many plans, one of them is of the TV couple Shefali Jariwala and Parag Tyagi. They were to adopt a baby but due to the spread of the Coronavirus, they have postponed the plan for now
A few months back, Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shefali Jariwala had revealed that she and hubby Parag Tyagi are planning to adopt a baby soon during a live chat with co-Bigg Boss 13 contestant Hindustani Bhau. The actress, who has been wanting to adopt a baby as she finds it to be a very beautiful thought since a very young age, had also revealed how it was difficult for her to convince Parag for it.
However just like other things this year, Shefali's plan of adopting the child has also been delayed. During a recent chat with SpotboyE.com, Shefali opened up on the process of adoption being delayed.
"Right now we have put everything on hold because of this corona situation. It's a long process and a lot of work is involved. And that process is going to take its own sweet time. All we can do is just pray and hope things go smooth and fast. I also believe that all things happen when the time is right and it's in your fate. Ham kitni bhi koshish karle jab bacche ka hamare ghar aane ka waqt hoga vo tabhi aayega. We are trying and we are very positive about it. The whole corona situation has slowed a lot of things and maybe that is for our good. God is very kind jo bhi hota hai acche ke liye hota hai," said Shefali.
Talking about the whole idea of adopting a baby, Shefali had told Bollywoodlife.com earlier, "It is a very brave decision, especially in the culture we belong to. ‘Why don't you have your own kids? It is reserved for those who cannot have their own.’” Shefali then continued, “Parag and I do not come from that space. Adoption is something I wanted to do as I find the thought very beautiful.” ALSO READ: Shefali Jariwala On Reports Of Replacing Saumya Tandon In Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: 'I Take It As A Compliment'- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO
She had also gone on to reveal how the thought of it crossed her mind. Talking about when she understood the concept of adoption, she had said, “I was first introduced to it when I was 10 or 12, at a very impressionable age. I have carried it since then.” Jariwala then spoke on how it was crucial for Parag and her to be on the same page and revealed, "He could not understand my emotion for a long time. It is something that has developed in me for years. But for such a big decision, it was crucial that he and I come on the same page.
